MIRAVAL MOCKTAILS

 

It’s Friday and to celebrate we’re releasing the recipes to our most popular mocktails.  Below you’ll find the mocktail recipes along with instructions on how to make the fresh syrups and shrubs that make our mocktails so delicious.

 Mocktails

  •  Black & Basil 

2 oz Blackberry Shrub

2 oz Lemon Juice

½ oz Black pepper Simply Syrup

4 oz Soda Water

4 Basil Leaves

 Combine all ingredients EXCEPT soda water. Shake over clean ice, double strain into Collins glass over ice and then top with soda. Garnish with basil sprig and lemon twist. 

  • Aguardiente

2 6-inch Watermelon spears

4 Slices of ginger (each about a nickel in size)

1 oz Simple syrup

1 ½ oz concentrated Hibiscus Tea 

1 oz lime juice

Combine all ingredients and muddle ginger and watermelon. Shake and strain over large ice cubes in Collins glass. Garnish with mint sprig.

  • Perfect Thyming

2oz Seedlip Garden 108

¾ oz Thyme Simple Syrup

½ oz Lemon Juice

¼ oz Ginger Juice

1 Dashes Celery Bitters

3 oz Soda Water

3-4 Sprigs Thyme (Slap and add to shaker tin)

Combine all ingredients EXCEPT soda water. Shake and pour into Collins glass over clean ice. Top with soda water (will foam slightly) garnish with thyme sprig.

  • Rosemary Paloma Fizz
    2oz Rosemary Simple Syrup
    1 oz Grapefruit Juice
    ½ oz Lime Juice 
    3oz Soda Water

Combine all ingredients EXCEPT soda water. Shake and pour into Collins glass over clean ice. Top with soda water. Garnish with a sprig of Rosemary.


Shrubs & Syrups

Blackberry Shrub

1 cup fresh blackberries

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup apple cider vinegar

 

Mash fresh blackberries with sugar. Let sit for 15 minutes to allow fruits to expel juices.Stir in vinegar. Cover and let steep in the fridge for 2-3 days. Strain out solids and refrigerate until ready to use.

  • Black Pepper Simple Syrup

1⁄4 cup crushed black peppercorns

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

Place sugar, water and peppercorns in a small pot and bring to a boil. Simmer 5 minutes and let cool. Leave peppercorns in syrup to lend it a stronger flavor. 2 week hold time

  •  Honey Simple Syrup

Makes 2 Cups

2 cups water

2 cups Honey

Bring to a rolling boil with all ingredients added.  Simmer for 10 minutes and then chill.

 Lemograss Simple Syrup

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

1 lemongrass stalk minced

 Combine sugar and water in a small pot and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add lemongrass. Cover pan and cool to room temperature. Muddle lemongrass to release any extra oils. Strain out solids and then refrigerate.

  •  Thyme Simple Syrup

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

10g fresh thyme

Combine sugar, water and thyme in a small pot and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Cover pan and cool to room temperature. Strain out solids and refrigerate.

  • Rosemary Simple Syrup

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

10g fresh rosemary

Combine sugar, water and rosemary in a small pot and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Cover pan and cool to room temperature. Strain out solids and refrigerate.
