To reinforce our mental wellbeing mission, we will be collaborating with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, our philanthropic partner for 2021. Since 1979, NAMI has worked to educate, advocate, listen, and lead to improve the lives of people with mental illness and their loved ones. Mental health, now more than ever, is something we all need to prioritize.

Winter 2021 – Self-Connection for Spirit & Soul: Society’s increasing polarization inspired us to create more common ground. We can counter isolation with community and fellowship, united in a shared journey of growth. In that spirit, we are unveiling a video series focused on exploring spiritual journeys that can be shared with others. This resource will help you uncover your soulful side, clear your mind, and cultivate self-awareness, wherever you are. Because, as Jon Kabat-Zinn (one of Miraval’s founding advisors) reminds us, Wherever You Go, There You Are. Let’s explore how to make your “there” a place you want to be.
Spring 2021 – Sensory Journey (Mantras & Meditation + Soundscapes for Serenity): At Miraval, we invite you to step out of your comfort zone and into the great outdoors. We know that communing with nature can reduce stress and boost moods. Miraval’s extensive open-air adventures—climbing, biking, hiking, zip-lining—open portals of discovery. Our upcoming Sensory Journeys and meditations will ground you in the sounds of nature, allowing you to shift perspective among the earth’s elements, even from the comfort of your home.
Summer 2021 – Everyday Digital Mindfulness: Mindfulness is the core of Miraval’s philosophy. You can begin this practice by setting down your phone and observing the present moment. At Miraval, you can only use devices in designated areas. Intentionally disengaging from digital life frees up time and mental space to participate in real life. To bring support to Mental Health Awareness Month in May, we will be sharing tips on how you can integrate Digital Mindfulness into your daily routine. We’re not telling you to unplug entirely from your phone; we ask you to use it mindfully and structure time away from it. Let us help you find other fulfilling ways to connect with yourself, your loved ones, and the natural world.
Fall 2021 – Explore Your Wellbeing: For those ready to travel, we will be hosting exclusive on-property events at one of our three Miraval destinations in Arizona, Texas, or Massachusetts. Our “Explore Your Wellbeing” events include both in-person and virtual access with premier wellness thought leaders from group workshops to interactive culinary experiences.
